We are currently hiring a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our growing veterinary hospital team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in a hands-on role in animal care, veterinary medicine, and client service within a fast-paced clinical environment.
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work directly with our veterinarians and support staff to provide quality medical care to companion animals while delivering excellent customer service to pet owners.
We are currently looking to hire:

One (1) Full-Time Veterinary Assistant
or - Two (2) Part-Time Veterinary Assistants
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams and medical treatments
- Support surgical and dental procedures
- Prepare and position patients for x-rays
- Provide daily animal care including restraint and comfort
- Maintain hospital cleanliness and stock medical supplies

Communicate with clients regarding patient care and services
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 40–50 pounds (with assistance when necessary)
- Safely restrain dogs and cats of various sizes for exams and procedures
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and reach while handling patients or equipment
- Assist in positioning patients for radiographs (x-rays) and surgical procedures

Tolerate moderate noise levels including barking, meowing, and medical equipment
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary assistant, animal care, or client service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team-oriented veterinary hospital setting
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Willingness to learn veterinary procedures and patient handling
We are willing to train motivated candidates pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
Schedule Requirements
- 3–4 days per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Rotating Saturday mornings (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
- One evening per week for patient night walk (8:30 – 9:30 PM)
Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay: $15.50 – $17.00/hour (based on experience)
