The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality veterinary care by supporting veterinarians in clinical procedures, patient care, and client communication. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow within the clinic while maintaining the highest standards of medical care, safety, and compassion for both patients and clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia, including induction, maintenance, and recovery
- Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and charting
- Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Accurately record patient histories, treatments, and medical notes
Must Have
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical practices and procedures
- Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring and patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills`
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and restrain animals (often 40–100+ lbs with assistance)
- Standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for precise procedures
- Tolerance for exposure to animal waste, odors, and medical environments
